Towards a Carbon-Free Future: Our Net Zero Commitment
Informed by the visionary efforts of organizations such as Salesforce, Melonleaf Consulting has created a clear-cut roadmap for decreasing carbon emissions wherever possible, encouraging sustainability in every aspect of our business, and empowering our clients to make positive environmental changes.
Why Net Zero Matters?
The need for corporate accountability magnifies the urgency for Net Zero. Global warming and changes in the climate are speeding up, in turn, causing the severity of weather events to be even more serious than before; bringing about rising sea levels in certain places; and thus, disrupting ecosystems.
As a responsible and forward-thinking organization, we recognize the profound effect our operations and decisions have on the planet, and we are committed to aligning with international climate agreements, such as the Paris Agreement, to help limit global warming to well below 2°C.
Net zero promises much more than environmental benefits: Companies that have committed to this notion have continued to harvest the business edge through efficiency gains in operations, improving reputational threat, and attracting similar-minded partners, customers, and talent.
Our Net Zero Public Commitment
Measuring and Monitoring Our Carbon Footprint
We have developed a data-driven methodology for emission monitoring, such as collecting carbon audits to analyze and visualize environmental data from Salesforce Sustainability Cloud. Using cloud technology will be useful for integrating and simplifying the process of emissions tracking and management in real time.
Moving Towards Renewable Energy
Accordingly, all the data centers and cloud services run with 100% clean energy, thus reducing the support on fossil fuel consumption and overall trimming the environmental impact. Besides, we are undertaking measures regarding the sustainable global transition into clean energy by investing in carbon credits and other initiatives.
Reducing Carbon Emission from All Operations
Reducing emissions is at the center of the Net Zero strategy. We also are reducing overall emissions by improving energy efficiency in our operations, reducing waste, and optimizing our resource use. In this regard, we have adopted several key strategies:
Energy Efficiency
We are converting energy-using systems and equipment to energy-efficient ones; LED lighting, renewed heating and cooling systems are implemented and additively automated energy management of the premises. Our target is to save energy by 25% by 2030.
Green Transport
More electric vehicles (EVs) are now being adopted as part of green transportation. Remote working will reduce commuting while adopting virtual meetings and video conferencing will minimize business travel.
Waste Reduction
By 2030, we want to achieve zero waste in landfills. This entails recycling better, savings paper, and adopting circular economy practices where possible.
Innovating Towards a Sustainable Future
Our Commitment to Transparency and Accountability
Conclusion
We invite all our partners, clients and peers to walk with us on this journey concerning this important cause: “Journeying together into a sustainable, low-carbon future towards an even brighter, cleaner tomorrow.”
