Our client needed a unified patient portal that could simplify access to medical records. Patients required the capability to be in a position to see injuries, prescriptions, medical history, and insurance-related documents by using a single interface so as to eliminate confusion caused by non-integrated systems.
Secure Document Upload & Download
They had an intention to implement safe file upload/download functionalities and provide a possibility for patients to upload injury-related files to simplify working with insurance providers and download copies of HIPAA release forms and billing invoices.

Custom LWC tabs and JavaScript routing were used to assist patients in the easy access to My Injuries, Medical Records, Prescriptions, and HIPAA Release Forms (available in English & Spanish) to reduce confusion and help discover data in modules easily.
HIPAA-Compliant Framework
Salesforce Shield, field-level encryption, auditing of logins, and access control ensured HIPAA compliance. The address update was also introduced as a feature so that patients can update their information themselves in the portal instead of calling the patient management team, saving a lot of manual effort and enhancing data integrity.
